Grief & Loss

The Downtown Coalition for Grief Support provides education and support for those grieving the death of a loved one. It’s committed to providing a respectful and caring atmosphere, inclusive of all faiths. It seeks to provide an opportunity for people to help one another understand and express their grief experience.

Group meetings are held each Saturday, 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., at one of nine downtown churches (location changes seasonally; see link in right column). Each meeting includes an educational presentation or personal story of grief and recovery followed by small group discussions. Each group is led by trained facilitators who understand grief from their own personal experience.
