To create the Plymouth embroideries, the Needlers used a Persian style wool known for its strength, resilience and vibrant color. They are selling their yarn stash. An uncut skein weighing 4 ounces and measuring 425 to 450 yards will cost $10; a bag of cut yarn, $5.
Proceeds from the sale will help fund a new mechanism the Needlers use to replace the embroideries four times a year. In addition, they seek eight people to help them with this seasonal task. If interested, contact Dawn Wanous.
